OUR MISSION

The Livastride Foundation provides activities within our community to create suicide awareness and encourage “Living for today and Striding for Tomorrow”.


The death of a loved one by suicide is a powerful and emotional experience that can shatter life as we know it. Grief is a normal reaction to loss, and an essential part of dealing with loss, especially the loss of a loved one. Grief is universal, every person will experience it at some time, in his or her own way. Three elements that seem to assist in recovery from the devastating effects of the death of a loved one are:

Our bereavement support classes are a tool to learn to adjust to the death of a loved one. If you have experienced the suicide death of someone close to you, please join an upcoming grief support class, facilitated by caring professionals, experienced in the area of managing grief.

Life After Loss

There are few events in life that are as painful as the death of a loved one. Returning to regular life after the death of a loved one can also be an emotional challenge. Our weekly meetings with a trained facilitator can help you find a new normal, and to learn about life after a loss. Suicide Bereavement Support Class

Losing a loved one to suicide produces a particular kind of grief, and healing requires a special form of support. Many, who’ve experienced such a loss, find that sharing openly with fellow suicide loss survivors; can greatly help with the healing process.

If you have experienced the suicide death of someone close to you, we invite you to join an upcoming support class facilitated by caring professionals experienced in this area of grief management.
